Debt collectors are prohibited from engaging in harassment under the FDCPA. This includes repeated or continuous phone calls with the intent to annoy, abuse, or harass you, as well as calls at inconvenient times (before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. in your time zone). If a collector is repeatedly calling you, you have the right to send a cease communication letter to stop further contact. The Kugel Law Firm can help you send this letter and pursue legal action if the harassment continues.
